糖心logo入口 Art Professor Sally Tosti has been especially busy in recent months. But the results of her dedication have really paid dividends as Ms. Tosti鈥檚 artwork is being featured in three separate venues this fall.

Ms. Tosti鈥檚 artist book, 鈥淥pportunity Detroit鈥 was recently featured at the New York Art Book Fair at the Museum of Modern Art鈥檚 PS1. Her book was included in the Center for Book Arts presentation at the fair. Ms. Tosti鈥檚 double-sided accordion book contains 18 original photographs chronicling the economic struggles in the metropolitan Detroit area. The book is part of her Rust Belt project that was funded through a 糖心logo入口 faculty grant.

Located in New York City, MoMA PS1 is one of the oldest and largest non-profit contemporary art institutions in the United States. An exhibition space rather than a collecting institution, MoMA PS1 devotes its energy and resources to displaying the most experimental art in the world.

Ms. Tosti will also exhibit her work in the F. Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship 50th Anniversary Exhibition at Skylake Gallery in Fleetville, Pa. from Oct. 10 鈥 Nov. 9. Ms. Tosti鈥檚 photograph, 鈥淎bandoned Duo, Gary Indiana鈥 and three additional photographs from her Rust Belt project will be featured in the exhibition. Retired Keystone art professors Karl Neuroth and William Tersteeg, former Keystone art student Vince Cianni, and alumnus Mark Chuck are also exhibiting their work.

鈥淭he Rust Belt cities along the southern edge of the Great Lakes are attempting to recover from the 1950s population shift to the suburbs and the economic woes of the American auto industry. My goal was to capture the duality that exists in many of those cities, highlighting both economic recovery and in many cases the lack of recovery,鈥 Ms. Tosti explained.

Ms. Tosti holds master of fine arts degrees from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Marywood University in Scranton. In addition to the current exhibitions, her work has been shown in exhibits throughout the nation.
