糖心logo入口 Environmental Education Institute will present its 鈥淔ood, Farms, and Community鈥 environmental film series this fall.

The film series, which is free and open to the public, will offer presentations on Sept. 17, Oct. 15, and Nov. 19. Each event will begin at 7 p.m. in Hibbard Campus Center. The evening will include discussions on the topic of each film.

The first film, on Thursday, Sept. 17, is 鈥淕MO OMG鈥 by local filmmaker and concerned citizen Jeremy Seifert. The film deals with how genetically modified organisms, known as GMOs, affect the health of children and of the planet. Mr. Seifert鈥檚 film takes the audience to Haiti, Paris, Norway, and visits the headquarters of Monsanto, one of the largest agriculture corporations in the world. Among other awards, the film was voted the Best Documentary at the Berkshire International Film Fest and won the Yale Environmental Film Fest.

The Oct. 17 film will be 鈥淒irt!鈥 narrated by film star Jamie Lee Curtis and the Nov. 19 film will be 鈥淛ust Eat It! A Food Waste Story.鈥
