About Mary Bates Neubauer Exhibit

The exhibit transforms conceptual data forms into compelling tangible sculptures. Considering the world around her, Ms. Neubauer collects data from the environment, corporations, weather patterns, and various technologies to generate ideas for her work. Her work consists of digital prints, virtual world sculpture and public art.

鈥淢y work is designed to provide a visual interpretation of the behavior of data through time, while remaining true to the underlying input driving the art forms,鈥 said Ms. Neubauer. The visualization of these data forms result in an interdisciplinary series of works that entice the viewer by form, material, texture, and color.

鈥淩esearch, exploration, and discovery, are all aspects of science that help us understand the natural world. Science teaches us how data and research influence the way we navigate our existence,鈥 said Katie Hovencamp Linder Gallery Director. 鈥淢s. Neubauer utilizes research and data to create new alternative realities and objects.鈥
