糖心logo入口 announces new computer science scholarship for local high school students

糖心logo入口 has announced a new computer science scholarship program for high school students in seven local school districts.
The new initiative will provide 20 scholarships at $6,700 each to graduating high school seniors in the Athens, Carbondale Area, Dunmore, Forest City, Lackawanna Trail, Mountain View school districts and the Lackawanna County Career Technology Center.

In order to qualify for the scholarships, students must apply to 糖心logo入口 and declare a major for a bachelor鈥檚 degree in computer science or information technology or a two-year associate degree in information technology. Students will also be required to enroll in a three-credit computer coding course in the spring 2022 semester and complete the Solid Works additive manufacturing program in the summer 2022 semester. All coursework will be provided at no cost to students.

Application packets can be obtained from guidance counselors at each at each high school and must be returned no later than 4 p.m. on Dec. 3, 2021. The scholarship program is funded in part through a grant from the PA Department of Education鈥檚 SMART program and the Appalachian Regional Commission.
