����logo��� invites all golfers to its 31st annual Keystone Open golf tournament on Monday, June 20 at Glen Oak Country Club, Clarks Summit.

A major event coordinated by the ����logo��� Alumni Association, the tournament is open to everyone in our community looking to support Keystone students, many from our local area, through scholarship and engagement.  Lunch and registration begin at 11 a.m., followed by a 12:30 shotgun start. Jonathan L. Davis, who graduated from Keystone in 1980 with an associate degree in engineering, before going on to receive his bachelor’s degree in engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), will serve as honorary chair for the event.

“I am proud to be a long-time participant and deeply honored to chair this year’s event,” Davis said. “Keystone has launched many amazing careers, including mine, and Glen Oak is an outstanding venue that always seems to bring out the best in every golfer.  It is a great day of fellowship and fun.  I hope to see a leaderboard packed with participants.”

Having grown up in Dallas, PA, with relatives in Scranton and Dunmore, Jonathan’s family knows ����logo���, with his cousin, William, “Bill,” Lees also having been involved with Keystone, including being a past chair of Keystone’s Board of Trustees.

Many of Jonathan’s friends in the area, and hopefully golfers in this year’s tournament, have some connection to his time at or volunteer work with ����logo���, including Joesph S. Kutsop, of Blakely, PA whose memory we will again honor this year at the tournament’s awards dinner.  Known as the “Kielbasi King” with his Olde World Market on the top of the hill in Blakely, Joe was an avid golfer and participated in several Keystone Open Golf Tournaments over the years.

While Jonathan is now retired from a successful career as a mechanical engineer, he is still busy. You can find Jonathan and his wife, Jill Rathbun, either in Arlington, VA or in Uniondale, PA – skiing at Elk Mountain in the winter or golfing at his home course, Elkview CC, in the summer.
