Position: Social Media Coordinator
Department: Marketing

Reports to: Director of Admissions Communications & Web Content

Position Summary:  Position is responsible for developing, curating and scheduling compelling and visually appealing content for various social media platforms that enhance ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú’s online presence, engaging with current and prospective students, alumni and stakeholders, and contributing to overall marketing and communication goals.

  • Social Media Coordinator Promotes and champions ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú daily through positive and engaging content, always prioritizing the College’s best interests.
  • Follows approval processes and College guidelines when creating content, posting on social media platforms and responding to social media users who comment or direct message accounts.
  • Ensures the College is positively and accurately represented in all social media posts, and that the College’s policies for branding and voice are enforced
  • Creates, curates, and schedules compelling and visually appealing content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and TikTok, and other platforms as they become relevant and ensures the content is current, accurate, on brand and engaging for all audiences.
  • Develops a content calendar that aligns with the College’s brand and messaging.
  • Coordinates activities of interns to optimize productivity. Provides guidance and opportunities for portfolio development for interns who want to continue their social media career after college.
  • Engages with the Keystone community and broader audience through active monitoring, responding to comments, and fostering meaningful conversations. Encourages user-generated content and collaborates with influencers and brand advocates.
  • Serves as a positive ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú representative to constituent groups, including student/staff/faculty organizations, clubs, or departments looking to create their own social media accounts
  • Stays current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to ensure that Keystone’s social media strategies remain innovative and effective.
  • Gathers content as needed by attending campus events and observing day-to-day activity for chances to showcase and promote the College
  • Writes captions that are topically appropriate
  • Interviews students, alumni and parents to create compelling content
  • Continuously evaluates the data and performance of social media campaigns

Experience:

  • Entry level position with 1 – 3 years of experience in social media, marketing, strategic communications, or similar field. Candidates with a portfolio of relevant work in social media preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of social media voice and tone.
  • Understanding of social media management tools and analytics platforms
  • Creative mindset with the ability to bring a constant flow of ideas and new approaches.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to construct and meet content calendars
  • Ability to storyboard and edit videos for social media
  • Ability to integrate marketing materials, including video, written copy, photos or curated content that is repacked and repurposed
  • Adaptable and willing to quickly change content or create new content
  • Plans ahead, meets deadlines and organizes workflow
  • Balances multiple campaigns for multiple audiences
  • Attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
  • Can perform under stressful situations and deadlines
