Position Summary: ÌÇÐÄlogoÈë¿Ú invites applications for field supervisors and student teaching supervisors, beginning August 2026. Some candidates will work as both a field supervisor and a student teaching supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Given a list of education students and observation checklists, the field supervisor will visit each school placement a minimum of twice a semester.
- Given a list of student teachers, the supervisor will visit each placement a minimum of 3-4 times each semester.
- Attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of each semester.
- During school visit, the supervisor will:
- Conference with the cooperating teacher.
- Observe and evaluate lessons and other activities observed.
- Complete observation paperwork.
- Complete Skills and Disposition checklist
- Conference with student
- Check attendance log
- Check sign I and sign out at front office
- In addition, student teaching supervisors will:
- Review lesson plans with the student both before and after teaching a lesson.
- Review Llivetext portfolio.
- Complete PDE 430 evaluation for each placement.
Experience:
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction or Principal’s Certificate.
- Instructional II Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood, Special Education or Elementary Education, K – grade 6 or principal’s certificate
- Minimum of 10 years classroom teaching
- Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering inclusive learning
- Experience working with diverse student
